The series “legs” deeps in the “Café con Piernas” workers. “Café con Piernas” (coffee with legs) are non-windows coffee bar where attendants are semi-naked. They function during the day for office men clients. They are very common in the “conservative” city of Santiago de Chile, in business and commercial districts. Usually, the only service offered is just a coffee, but in
many places they give personal erotic dancing for the client. Sometimes “other” kind of services is offered.
With raw flashed portraits the project investigates the life and identity of these women. Some of them don’t show their faces because their families don’t know they work on that. Every portrait is accompanied with an autobiographical handwritten text.
This project was exhibited in the International Photography Festival Paraty em Foco 2014 (Brazil) and FOCOM2.
