“Country of absence” is a project about the concept and sensation of absence. It is circumscribed to Chilean territory, although it represents the universal absence. Photographs are related to fragments of poems of the Chilean Nobel prize in Literature Gabriela Mistral. It was exhibited during 2010 and 2011 in Chile. A book of 120 pages called “País de la Ausencia” was distributed in Chile, Argentina, Brazil and Germany. “Country of Absence” investigates,
universally, in the ephemeral of being. The scenario for such investigation is a country with a painful recent history such as Chile.
